Yes or No: Tech gifts for her for Valentine’s Day???

Valentine’s Day is this Sunday…

…so just for fun, I did a Google search for the following phrase:

  • TECH GIFTS FOR HER ON VALENTINE’S DAY

And in return…

…Google gave me 2,280,000 pages of results that would help me in my search for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for Mrs. Stebben.

But if you’re a guy, and you’re interested in preserving your relationship with your wife or girlfriend…

…I suggest you ignore all the tips about tech gifts on Valentine’s Day on those 2,280,000 webpages, and take my advice (along with a lot of help from Mrs. Stebben) from the following tips instead:

VALENTINE’S DAY TIP #1:

FORGET GIVING HER A TECHIE GIFT…

…BUT GIVE HER THE GIFT OF YOUR FULL-ATTENTION, INSTEAD

Based on what Mrs. Stebben tells me…

…the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for most women is not something you buy at Best Buy.

Instead, it’s the gift of your time and attention.

For that reason, I suggest that on the morning of Valentine’s Day…

…that you give your gal two small gift-bags:

  • In one gift-bag, insert tickets to a local event or a gift certificate to a favorite restaurant that you can use together later that day or evening
  • In the second gift-bag, I suggest that you place your powered-off cellphone, iPod, Kindle, GPS and TV remote…and vow to leave them all off for the entire day and evening.

VALENTINE’S DAY TIP #2:

IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST BUY HER A GIFT AT BEST BUY…

…AT LEAST MAKE IT A GIFT THAT DOESN’T REQUIRE YOU TO SPEND HOURS MAKING IT WORK

Mrs. Stebben tells me that it is NOT in any way romantic…

…for her to stare at the back of my head while I try to figure out how to make some gadget work.

That being said, Mrs. Stebben says that if I were to buy her something like a digital picture frame for Valentine’s Day…

…that would be a great gift, IF I also loaded it full of fun and romantic pictures of the two of us BEFORE I gave it to her.

And here’s why she says pre-loading photos into a digital frame would make such a huge difference:

  • Because it means I WOULDN’T have to mess with the frame after I gave it to her
  • If I pre-loaded a lot of pictures, it would mean that I invested both TIME AND MONEY when getting a gift for her.

VALENTINE’S DAY TIP #3:

OR IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST BUY HER A GIFT AT BEST BUY…

…SPEND A BUNDLE ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE BIG-SCREEN HDTV YOU CAN AFFORD

Mrs. Stebben says that if you can afford a big, beautiful HDTV set for Valentine’s Day…

…that it’s a great gift for her because:

  • For her, it’s not just a TV…but also a beautiful addition to the room
  • She will assume that now that you’ve got a big, beautiful new HDTV…that it means you two will spend more time on the couch snuggling while watching movies together.

VALENTINE’S DAY TIP #4:

OR IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST BUY HER A GIFT AT BEST BUY…

…BUY A SMALLER HDTV THAT YOU TWO CAN WATCH TOGETHER IN THE BEDROOM

Do I really have to say anything more?

BONUS VALENTINE’S DAY TIP:

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A HOUSE FULL OF HDTVS AND DIGITAL PICTURE FRAMES?

Then go to Blockbuster and buy your wife or girlfriend copies of every chick-flick she loves…

…so that she can watch them all whenever she wants.

And on your way home from Blockbuster…

…stop and get a couple of steaks and a bottle of champagne.

And now, on Valentine’s Day evening…

…treat your wife to dinner prepared by you, plus an evening of the movies she loves with you (happily) watching beside her.
